Officers

Judith Newman
President, Secretary, and Board Member
A former business owner and manager, Judith currently resides in the French Quarter of New Orleans where she is able to actively oversee the daily needs and operations of the organization. She is in touch daily with those in need of assistance in rebuilding New Orleans.

Jon Libman
Vice-President, Treasurer, and Board Member
A current business owner with an MBA and a BA in Economics, Jon is well-qualified to oversee key administrative aspects of the operations such as accounting, promoting and administering fundraising, and communications. Jon has also been involved in fundraising efforts for charities associated with his business.

Board Members

Frank Newman
A retired Lt. Colonel of the US Army for 26 years as well as a retired teacher of 18 years in the New Orleans public schools, Frank has a deep understanding about helping others in need. He currently resides in the French Quarter of New Orleans where he is in touch daily with those in need of help in rebuilding New Orleans.

Kathleen Libman
A current business owner and theater director with a BA in Art History, Kathleen was born and raised in New Orleans. Kathleen has been involved over the years in fundraising efforts for charities associated with her business and is active in many community organizations. A mother of 2 daughters, Kathleen is also a docent at the Neuberger Museum at the State University of New York at Purchase.

Fred Westenberger
A livelong resident of Metro New Orleans, Fred is a graduate of Loyola Law School and currently an attorney and an owner of several radio stations including WVOG in New Orleans. This combination allows Fred to bring to the organization much knowledge of New Orleans and its current needs, legal advice, and business experience.

James Couturie
A livelong resident of Metro New Orleans, James is a graduate of Tulane University. He is currently the president and owner of Gilbert, Kelly & Couturie, a New Orleans area civil engineering firm, where he is currently very active in the whole rebuilding of New Orleans, especially as it relates to rebuilding homes and businesses.

Nanette Couturie
Nanette is a resident of Metro New Orleans since 1958 and a graduate of the University of New Orleans where she was awarded the Edgar E. Brooks Memorial Award for leadership. Currently, Nanette work in the LSU Health Sciences Center’s Department of Public Health and is active in various community organizations and events.

Jeffrey C. Lapeyrolerie
Born in Reserve, LA, Jeffrey’s grew up in the New Orleans metro area where much of his family continues to reside and play an active role in the community. A graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans and Cornell University Medical School, Jeffrey is currently an urologist in Cleveland, Ohio. Jeffrey is also very active in many organizations and associations for his industry.

Myra Lapeyrolerie
Myra brings extensive private and public sector experience to the board. A graduate of Yale University, Myra’s private sector experience includes extensive business consulting experience especially in finance, marketing, and new business development. In the public sector, her experience includes fundraising, administration, and communications for political campaigns, public schools, and charitable organizations. She has also won numerous awards and honors including The Avon National Leadership Roundtable Youth Award, and the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women Business Award.
